No. 35 Gallery invites artists worldwide to submit work for Botanical—International Online Group Exhibition 2026. This exhibition explores the beauty, diversity, symbolism, and complexity of plant life across contemporary artistic practices—from flowers, leaves, gardens, and wild plants to fruits, vegetables, fungi, roots, seeds, and imagined botanical forms. Selected artists will present their work in a curated international online group exhibition hosted on the No. 35 Gallery website, supported by curatorial presentation and promotion through the gallery’s platforms.

Artists are invited to submit works inspired by, responding to, or engaging with the botanical world. The exhibition considers plants not only as subjects of observation and beauty, but also as carriers of memory, symbolism, culture, ecology, growth, decay, transformation, and our relationship with the natural environment.

The theme is intentionally broad and welcomes traditional botanical studies alongside contemporary, abstract, conceptual, experimental, and imaginative approaches to plant life.

We welcome submissions from emerging and established artists working across all visual art mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, digital art, textile art, printmaking, drawing, collage, installation documentation, and other contemporary practices.

Through this exhibition, No. 35 Gallery aims to bring together diverse international perspectives on botanical life and explore how artists observe, interpret, transform, and reimagine the natural forms that surround us.

What Artworks and Subjects Are Included?

Floral Subjects: Individual flowers, blooms, garden flowers, wildflowers, seasonal flowers, floral arrangements, full bouquets, dried flowers, petals, and flowering plants.

Botanical Elements: Leaves, intricate leaf patterns, stems, branches, seed pods, seeds, tree bark, roots, bulbs, thorns, vines, grasses, moss, and other structural details of plant life.

Trees & Plant Species: Trees, shrubs, houseplants, tropical plants, desert plants, aquatic plants, rare plant species, native plants, medicinal plants, and cultivated or wild vegetation.

Gardens & Botanical Environments: Gardens, greenhouses, botanical gardens, meadows, orchards, forests, cultivated landscapes, overgrown spaces, and environments in which plant life is the principal subject.

Broader Flora: Herbs, fruit, vegetables, grains, edible plants, fungi, mushrooms, and related organic forms depicted within a natural, observational, symbolic, or artistic context.

Botanical Abstraction: Works inspired by the colours, shapes, textures, patterns, structures, and rhythms of plant life, including abstract and semi-abstract interpretations.

Symbolic & Conceptual Botanical Works: Artworks using flowers and plants to explore themes such as memory, identity, femininity, life and death, growth, healing, transformation, fragility, cultural traditions, migration, spirituality, or human experience.

Ecology & Environment: Works addressing biodiversity, endangered plant species, habitat loss, climate change, conservation, ecological relationships, sustainability, and humanity’s interaction with plant life.

Imagined & Experimental Botanicals: Surreal plants, fictional species, altered botanical forms, hybrid organisms, digitally created flora, experimental botanical imagery, and speculative interpretations of the natural world.

Both representational and non-representational approaches are welcome. The botanical subject may be the central focus of the artwork or form an essential part of its visual or conceptual language.

No. 35 Gallery welcomes diverse interpretations of the theme and encourages artists to approach the botanical world through their own cultural, personal, environmental, and artistic perspectives.
