No. 35 Gallery is pleased to announce an international Open Call for our upcoming Portrait Online Group Exhibition 2026.
Portraiture has long been one of the most powerful forms of artistic expression, capturing not only a person's appearance but also identity, emotion, memory, character, and human experience. This exhibition invites artists to explore the portrait in contemporary ways, celebrating the diversity of faces, stories, and perspectives from around the world.
We welcome both traditional and experimental interpretations of portraiture. Works may depict oneself, others, real or imagined figures, and may explore themes such as identity, culture, psychology, gender, heritage, relationships, vulnerability, resilience, or social commentary.
Artists working in all visual art mediums are encouraged to apply, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, printmaking, textile art, mixed media, digital art, collage, and other contemporary practices.
Selected artists will be featured in a professionally curated international online exhibition presented by No. 35 Gallery, alongside artists from across the globe. The exhibition aims to foster meaningful artistic dialogue while providing international exposure to emerging and established artists alike.

Eligibility
This open call is open to artists worldwide working in any visual art medium or discipline.
Both emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply.
Submission Requirements
Artists need to submit only one artwork image. For 3D artworks, artists may combine multiple views or angles into one image. All visual art mediums are welcome.

Participation Fee
Entry is free. A participation fee of £15 is required only after selection to be included in the exhibition.

The jury seeks a diverse range of artistic approaches, media, cultural perspectives, and interpretations of contemporary urban environments.
Exhibition Details
The exhibition will be presented online through the No. 35 Gallery website.
Selected works will be curated into a dedicated digital exhibition accessible to an international audience.
The exhibition will remain archived on the gallery website for one year following its conclusion, providing continued visibility for participating artists.
Sales & Commission
Artists may choose to make their artworks available for sale through the exhibition.
No. 35 Gallery receives a 30% commission on any sales made through the exhibition.
