Aparajita’s practice sits between painting, architecture and design. She create fictional cultural worlds using visual languages inspired by architecture, ornament, folklore and everyday objects. Rather than documenting existing cultures, she construct new ones by weaving together influences from across geographies and time periods. Her work invites viewers to enter places that feel strangely familiar, where memory and imagination coexist.
