One does not have to climb volcanoes to see an explosion of colour. This universe lies right on our own front doors. The works presented here were photographed in European gardens – without removing the flowers from their environment. This unusual perspective was made possible by strong magnification, reducing the depth of field to just a few millimetres. This creates a tension between sculpted and abstract, where small details transform into almost cosmic landscapes of colour and form.

Artist Statement

I am eager to move across artistic genres like abstract, macro or minimalism to documentary photography. Independently of the genre, one common feature of my photos is their simple, even minimalist composition, focusing on the essential.
