New Year’s Lights
The light of a new year reaches toward a time that has not yet been filled.
It is closer to possibility than certainty,
and closer to an open space than to a resolution.
New Year’s Lights captures the quiet light of a moment when we pause and regain our breath. It is the space between what has passed and what has yet to come—the moment of standing still before taking another step forward.
This light does not demand a direction.
It does not tell us what to choose or where to go.
It simply remains beside us, slowly glowing, so that we do not lose ourselves in the darkness.
Through my work, I observe these quiet moments of light and the emotions that emerge between brightness and darkness, fullness and emptiness. I am drawn to the subtle presence of light, the silence surrounding it, and the spaces that remain open to possibility.
The light of a new year is not necessarily a grand promise of hope. Rather, it is a quiet sense that we can begin again. It is the gentle light that allows us to pause, breathe, and look toward an uncertain future without needing to have all the answers.
With this exhibition, I hope to offer a moment of stillness—a space where each viewer can pause, breathe, and encounter their own light within the passage of time.

New Year’s Lights
New Year’s Lights is an exhibition about light as a quiet presence at the threshold of a new beginning.
A new year opens a space that has not yet been filled. Between what has passed and what has yet to come, light becomes a subtle symbol of possibility, renewal, and hope.
The works explore the relationship between light and darkness, presence and absence, fullness and emptiness. Rather than presenting light as something absolute, the exhibition focuses on its gentle glow, the spaces between moments, and the quiet emotions that emerge when we pause.
The light does not offer a fixed direction or certainty. Instead, it creates a space to breathe, reflect, and remain open to possibility.
New Year’s Lights invites viewers to slow down and encounter their own memories and emotions. Through this quiet experience, the exhibition offers a moment of reflection and a gentle invitation to look toward a new beginning.
