Artist Statement
My practice is an investigation into the way identities are created and enacted in society. Using paint as my tool of expression, I investigate elements of life through my experience, culture, religion, politics, and social interaction.
Exhibition Statement
In the following nine artworks, mundane objects are depicted in an unexpected light through the investigation of religion, mythologies, art, and cultures and their effect on the interpretation of such objects. This artwork is based on the desire of domination, success, and control as well as the temptation and struggles that go along with it.
