2. About Us
No. 35 Gallery is an independent art gallery and publishing platform that organises exhibitions, artist opportunities, interviews, magazine features, and related art services.
3. Eligibility

4. Open Call Applications

4.2 Selection Process
All selections are made at the sole discretion of the Gallery.
The gallery is not obligated to provide feedback or explanations regarding selection decisions.
All decisions are final.
4.3 Application Fees
Where applicable:
Submission fees are non-refundable.
Fees cover administrative and review costs.
Submission fees do not guarantee acceptance.
5. Participation Fees
For selected artists, participation fees may apply.
Participation fees contribute to:
Exhibition organisation
Venue costs
Marketing
Administration
Publishing costs
Unless required by law, participation fees are non-refundable once paid.
If an artist withdraws after payment, the gallery is under no obligation to issue a refund.
6. Deadlines and Payments
Selected artists must complete payment by the deadline stated in their acceptance email.
Failure to complete payment by the deadline may result in:
Withdrawal of selection
Cancellation of participation
Offer of the place to a waiting-list artist
The Gallery reserves the right to extend payment deadlines at its discretion.
7. Artwork Ownership
Artists retain full copyright ownership of their artwork.
Submission of artwork does not transfer ownership to the Gallery.
8. Licence Granted to the Gallery
By submitting artwork, artists grant No. 35 Gallery a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:
Display submitted artwork
Promote exhibitions
Publish artwork online
Publish artwork in digital or printed catalogues
Use artwork in social media promotions
Use artwork for press and marketing purposes related to Gallery activities
This license remains valid for promotional and archival purposes.
Artists may request removal from future promotional use where reasonably possible.
9. Artist Responsibility
Artists confirm that:
They created the submitted work.
The work does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights.
The work is lawful and does not contain defamatory, offensive, or illegal material.
Artists accept full responsibility for any claims arising from submitted content.
10. Exhibition Participation
The Gallery reserves the right to:
Curate exhibitions as it sees fit.
Determine artwork placement.
Determine exhibition format.
Modify exhibition dates if necessary.
Cancel or postpone exhibitions where circumstances require.
The Gallery shall not be liable for losses resulting from exhibition cancellation, postponement, venue issues, or events beyond its reasonable control.
11. Online Exhibitions and Publications
The gallery may publish the following:
Artist biographies
Artist statements
Interviews
Artwork images
Exhibition information
The gallery may edit submitted text for formatting, grammar, clarity, or publication standards.
12. Artwork Sales
Where artwork is offered for sale:
Sale agreements are between the buyer and the Gallery unless otherwise specified.
Commission rates will be communicated separately where applicable.
Prices may not be changed after publication without approval.
The Gallery does not guarantee artwork sales.
13. Collector and Buyer Requests
Where collectors or buyers submit requests through the Gallery:
The Gallery may review, edit, approve, reject, or remove requests.
Submission of a request does not guarantee artist responses.
Artist responses do not guarantee commissions or purchases.
The gallery reserves the right to charge administrative fees for buyer request submissions.
