The Evolution of No. 35 Gallery: Digital Foundations, Absolute Transparency, and Our Leap into Physical Spaces

Since our inception, No. 35 Gallery has been driven by a singular, passionate mission: to democratize the international art world.

As a digital-first contemporary art platform based in London, we have successfully built a borderless community. Our most recent showcase, the Floral Exhibition 2026, brought together an incredible selection of international artists exploring botanical themes, personal narratives, and organic visual languages, bridging geographical divides and bringing global perspectives straight to our digital stage.

But as the art landscape evolves, so do we. Today, we want to peel back the curtain, share our operational philosophy, and announce the exciting next chapter of No. 35 Gallery.

Demystifying the Art World: Why We Charge a Participation Fee

There is often a lot of secrecy in the art world regarding how independent platforms stay afloat. At No. 35 Gallery, we believe in radical transparency.

To keep our platform sustainable, we charge a modest participation fee (typically £15). Because we do not take massive, traditional gallery commissions that swallow an artist's profits, this flat fee is what keeps our engine running. Here is exactly what that £15 invests in:

  • Digital Infrastructure & Curation: Funding the secure web hosting, high-resolution digital galleries, and the meticulous curatorial hours required to review global submissions.

  • Documentation: Producing high-quality, professional digital exhibition catalogs that artists can use to build their official CVs and portfolios.

  • Targeted Global Marketing: Funding international digital advertising campaigns to ensure that our exhibitions like the recent Floral Showcase and the participating artists get genuine visibility from global collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts.

By utilizing this low-friction model, we ensure that an artist's financial risk is minimized while their international exposure is maximized.

The Next Chapter: Bridging the Digital and the Physical | evolution no. 35 Gallery Digital Physical

While our digital platform has allowed us to cross borders instantly, we know there is an undeniable magic to seeing contemporary artwork mounted on a physical gallery wall.

We are thrilled to officially announce that No. 35 Gallery is expanding into physical collaborative exhibitions, starting right here in the United Kingdom.

We are incredibly proud to announce our upcoming physical exhibition in collaboration with STRYX, an artist-led studio and exhibition space based in the vibrant creative hub of Digbeth, Birmingham.

This physical showcase will bring the boundary-pushing contemporary spirit of No. 35's digital community into a brilliant, physical gallery setting. It marks the first of many initiatives designed to give our artists the dual benefit of a massive online footprint and physical gallery representation.

Our Roadmap: A Global Physical Network

The Birmingham exhibition with STRYX is only the beginning of our physical roadmap. No. 35 Gallery is actively designing a decentralized gallery network:

  1. The UK Phase: Over the coming year, we will continue partnering with established, forward-thinking independent galleries across major art hubs in the United Kingdom.

  2. The European Phase: Following our UK tour, our next step is to cross the channel, establishing physical pop-up exhibitions and collaborative showcases with contemporary galleries across mainland Europe.

  3. The US Phase: Ultimately, we will cross the Atlantic, bringing our global roster of artists to physical exhibition spaces in the United States.

Cultivating a New Kind of Art Community

Whether you interact with No. 35 Gallery on a smartphone screen in Tokyo, a laptop in São Paulo, or on a physical gallery wall in Birmingham, our core promise remains unchanged: visibility, exchange, and creative collaboration across borders.

We want to extend a massive thank you to our global community of artists and art lovers. You are the reason we are able to grow from a digital room into a physical, worldwide movement. Stay tuned for dates, submission calls, and location details for our upcoming STRYX exhibition!
